Stunning large mid 20th Century African bronze mask from the Tikka tribal area, Cameroon, c1950. This is a very impressive piece with lovely rich patina and decoration.
The mask is topped by two statue finials one showing a figure carrying a spear and the other playing a musical instrument. It is nicely cast in the traditional lost wax method and heavy (3kg).
It is in good original condition with only minor surface wear/rubbing and the usual casting holes etc you get with African bronzes. Please refer to the detailed photographs and feel free to contact us with any questions or if you would like to view the item.
