An antique mid-20th Century ship's telegraph maritime instrument, c1940. The device looks to be WW2 period, and is marked with the maker's name 'A. Robinson and Co, Liverpool'. We believe it may be from a minesweeper.
It is in good original condition, with minor surface wear to the case. The main body is painted red, which appears original. The wheel may have been repainted, as it is a mix of silver and black. The wheel rotates well and the dial moves freely across the various settings. The internal workings appear to be complete (but we are not experts in this field).
It has aged well with good colour/patina and a nice distressed look to the paintwork. Please refer to the detailed photographs and feel free to contact us with any questions or if you would like to view the item.
