Unusual late 19th Century bronze novelty inkwell in the form of a crocodile, c1880. The body of the crocodile has a hinged top to reveal the void where you would put the ink. We are not sure if this would have had a liner - if so, then this is missing.

The item has aged nicely and has good colour/patina consistent with over 100 years of use. There are no obvious defects and overall we would describe it as being in good condition commensurate with age and use. Please refer to the detailed photographs and feel free to contact us with any questions or if you would like to view the item.

Size: 17 cm long x 8 cm wide.
